These are considered guiding lights for how I want to run the campaign. They mainly serve as a reminder for me when I feel lost on what to do next, but should also be helpful for building a character and informing your backstory. 1. The plane of Erebus is **large** and revolves around **the players.** 1. The curtain opens and closes on whatever the players are doing at that point in time. Wherever they choose to go, the story goes with them. 2. Erebus is **dangerous** and **violent**. 1. The States of Erebus rarely agree, and when they do, it is by virtue of overwhelming strength. 2. Monsters and enemies lurk behind every corner, waiting for the chance to take advantage of your naivety. 3. The only **happy ending** is the one where you **survive**. 1. While you may get to see your backstory looped and tied up with a neat little bow, always remember **self preservation is tantamount**. Nobody is watching your back except for you.
