While the various personnel typically stay within the city, they can be dispatched internationally when crimes concern Odurnian nationals. The OCR developed from an archaic version of itself known as the [[Augury Division]]. The previous iteration in question had a storied history of substance abuse to aid in case solving. In fact, the very core of the Augury's strength came from the *Scire Omnes* potion. A brew that would allow one to see from their current position an indeterminate time into the future. This would allow the Augury to prevent crimes before they ever happened. The *Scire Omnes* was found to be particularly rough on an individual's body, especially after extended use. The group was eventually dissolved shortly after the [[Upheaval]] and formed again as the OCR, shortly thereafter. The OCR now utilized gastro-chemical helmets outfitted with an assisted lens that is coated with the *Scire Omnes*. This allows the detectives to utilize the draught, without the harm.
